1. Definitions
2. Hire Agreement
2.1 All hires are subject to the availability of equipment and confirmation from CG Trucks.
2.2 A written quotation or invoice will be issued for each hire, forming part of the contract.
2.3 By accepting the quotation and/or using our services, the client agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 A deposit or upfront payment may be required before dispatch.
3.2 Payment terms are strictly as per the invoice, typically Pay 70% upront and 30% COD (Cash on Delivery) or 30 days for account holders. this helps protect the company from non-payment or last-minute cancellations.
3.3 Late payments may attract interest at 2% per month until the balance is settled.

5.1 Equipment is to be used only for the purpose specified in the agreement.
5.2 Overloading, misuse, or operation in unsafe conditions is strictly prohibited.
5.3 Any accidents, breakdowns, or malfunctions must be reported to CG Trucks immediately.
6. Insurance & Liability
6.1 All equipment is covered under basic fleet insurance, subject to policy terms.
6.2 The client is responsible for any insurance excess, uncovered damages, or negligence-related losses.
6.3 CG Trucks shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses including project delays, lost income, or penalties arising from equipment issues.
7. Breakdowns & Downtime
7.1 CG Trucks will provide emergency support and replacement equipment (where available) in the event of mechanical failure not caused by the client.
7.2 Downtime due to client misuse, poor site conditions, or force majeure will not be credited.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
8.1 Cancellations must be made in writing at least 48 hours before dispatch.
8.2 Late cancellations may incur a 25% cancellation fee.
8.3 No refunds will be issued for early returns unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Return of Equipment
9.1 Equipment must be returned (or collected) in the same condition as received, allowing for reasonable wear and tear.
9.2 Any cleaning, repairs, or missing items will be billed to the client.
9.3 The hire period ends only once the equipment is returned or collected and inspected by CG Trucks staff.
10. Force Majeure
CG Trucks shall not be held responsible for any failure to perform its obligations due to natural disasters, strikes, lockouts, power failures, or any event beyond its reasonable control.
11. Indemnity
The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CG Trucks, its employees, and agents against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the use of hired equipment, except in cases of proven negligence by CG Trucks.
12. Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising shall be settled in a court of competent jurisdiction within South Africa.
13. Amendments
CG Trucks reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be made available to clients upon request or via our official website.

- Provide accurate delivery and site access information.
- Be responsible for any damage, loss, or theft during the hire period.
- Ensure that operators/drivers (if not supplied by CG Trucks) are properly licensed and trained.
